You can take garlic supplements, or just eat a lot of whole garlic. One of the things I like to do is take garlic cloves and just bake them. You can eat them baked, put them in pastas or put them on a healthy pizza made with soy cheese and organic crust. Baked garlic cloves are delicious and they're outstanding for your health. They don’t have the bite of raw garlic cloves.
Garlic supplements are also good, and the best company out there is Kyolic. Buy their aged garlic supplements. I do, and I recommend them to my family and friends. |

The New Hope group that organized the show actually invites an "FDA Enforcement Officer" to join the show, and they run around the show sampling brochures and making sure nobody makes any "unproven claims" about supplements, herbs, vitamins or even colloidal silver.
The FDA "presence" at the show, of course, is intended to make sure nobody can tell the truth about what natural supplements actually do to prevent and even cure degenerative disease. The point of all this is to keep the public ignorant and make sure there's a huge market for pharmaceuticals and surgery. |

A fever is an elevation in body temperature. Fever is not a disease, but a symptom that may indicate the presence of disease.
Normal body temperature ranges from 97°F to 99°F. It varies from individual to individual. Rectal temperature is usually about 1°F higher than oral temperature, and body temperature varies in the course of the day—it usually increases in the afternoon. Women have a higher temperature after ovulation than before ovulation. |

Whole leaf aloe vera supplements have been available on the market for a long time, but many of the common aloe vera supplements are a bit misleading, in my opinion. "Whole leaf" means they grabbed the entire aloe vera plant, blended up the whole thing (gel, sap and leaf skin), then dried it into a powder and packed that into capsules. At first, it sounds great... until you realize that the sap of aloe vera causes diarrhea. It's true: The sap or resin (also called latex) of aloe vera is a dark brown liquid that was traditionally used by American Indians to treat severe constipation. |

We also offer a blue label line of supplements, which focuses on helping with specific conditions, like allergies. Allergies are a major problem in animals. Allergy Defense for pets is the same as our Allergy Support Plus for humans. Within hours you can stop the itching if you keep an animal on it. Many of them scratch away all their hair, and they are itchy and miserable. You can stop that with Allergy Defense. And of course, we are always trying to improve the diet.
We have come out with our supplements, but consumers need education. |

Naturally, I'm taking natural vitamin E supplements and not synthetic vitamin E.
Most medical research projects don't actually study healthy people. They give synthetic vitamin E and other chemicals to heavily diseased people who are typically suffering from advanced-stage cardiovascular disorders, and then they take the results from those distorted studies and announce to the whole world that "vitamin E will kill you! |

Sure enough, he treated some of the nomads for anemia by giving them iron supplements, and suddenly the infections gained the upper hand. The rate of infection in nomads receiving the extra iron skyrocketed. The Somali nomads weren't withstanding these infections despite their anemia: they were withstanding these infections because of their anemia. It was iron locking in high gear.

And so it is the intention, mindset and character of these individuals that become imprinted in these products that we ultimately absorb into the cells of our body. Therefore, if we consume nutritional supplements that are manufactured by companies with nothing more than a profit motive, then we absorb the energy of greed (along with the chemical constituents of those nutritional supplements). |

Mike: When you say "chemically sensitive," what reactions do people show to other more mainstream supplements that use low-quality ingredients or excipients?
Dr. Liers: They may just get sick from them. They may lose the ability to think clearly. They may have pain all over their body. There may be gastrointestinal effects. Many chemically sensitive people cannot take any supplements.

The 1994 federal Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act specifically prohibits manufacturers and distributors of dietary supplements from making claims that the supplements cure disease. First parties who profit from the product's sales must adhere to strictly narrow structure-and-function claims allowed within the DSHEA framework. However, third parties like The Doctors' Prescription for Healthy Living, that is, publishing companies and other sources of information that do not profit from the sale of the product, are protected under the First Amendment and may make stronger claims. |

They have never allowed manufacturers of nutritional supplements to make true statements about what those supplements can do for your health. In fact, the FDA battled vigorously against the DSHEA Act in 1994 that finally allowed nutritional supplement manufacturers to make qualified statements on their products, as long as such statements were followed with the quote, "This statement has not been endorsed by the FDA."
We should allow supplement manufacturers to tell the truth about what their products do when it is based on available clinical evidence. |

Even if there were additional regulation of the supplements industry, the FDA is the wrong body to do it. The FDA has well proven it's going to defend the financial interests of the pharmaceutical industry at all costs, it's going to discredit supplements and herbs (and especially Chinese herbs) at every opportunity and it's going to completely ignore any standards of safety for prescription drugs.
For example, the FDA panel voted to put Vioxx back on the market, even though this drug – according to the FDA's own drug researcher, Dr. |

In my professional life, I do nutritional counseling and I will often ask people, "What meds are you on and what supplements are you on?" It is not unusual to see people put baby aspirin in the supplement column. That is how much of a hold pharmaceuticals have taken over people's lives. They think that something like baby aspirin is so benign that it goes in the supplements column.
Mike: So they don't think about gastrointestinal bleeding?
Simontacchi: That is exactly why Vioxx and Celebrex came off the market, because those medications caused bleeding and tremendous other problems. |

Based on data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), average vitamin D levels are 15 to 35. Because the ideal level is 50 to 70, this tells us that the average American probably needs 20 to 25 IU per pound of body weight to raise his or her vitamin D level to 50 to 70.
For good health, the minimum normal vitamin D level is 35. Toxicity—almost impossible to reach accidentally, by the way? |

Most evidence suggests that folic acid is more bioavailable than folate, so with folic acid from supplements, you get more bang for your nutritional buck.
It's well known that five or more servings per day of fruits and vegetables is a known cancer-risk reducer, and this is likely due in part to the fact that these foods are excellent sources of folate. Leafy greens are the best source of all—the name "folate" actually is derived from the word "foliage." Beans, citrus juices, and whole grains are also good sources. |
